SEXUAL PREDATORS/OFFENDERS
Any person who has been legally classified as a Sexual Predator or Sexual Offender must report in person at least twice a year (during the month of his/her birth month and in the 6th month thereafter) to the sheriff’s office headquarters in the county in which he or she resides. Failure to comply with this requirement is a 3rd-degree felony. The hours for the sexual offender and predator registrations are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. For more information, contact the Forensic Identification Unit at 941.861.4728.
CRIMINAL/CAREER OFFENDERS
Due to statutory requirements, Felony and Career Offender registrations take place at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility located at 2020 Main Street. Registration is available 24/7/365.
