Any person who has been legally classified as a Sexual Predator or Sexual Offender must report in person at least twice a year (during the month of his/her birth month and in the 6th month thereafter) to the sheriff’s office headquarters in the county in which he or she resides. Failure to comply with this requirement is a 3rd-degree felony. Due to statutory requirements, Felony and Career Offender registrations take place at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility located at 2020 Main Street.
