Sarasota Sheriff Employee Relief Fund, also known as SSERF, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity that operates exclusively for the charitable purpose of providing relief to current employees of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) who have encountered unexpected emergencies, hardships, or situations resulting from a natural disaster. The charity raises money through employee and community donations as well as events.

The purpose and objectives of this organization shall be to provide law enforcement with additional tools, equipment, and resources to combat crime and promote public safety.
