The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Sarasota man after a traffic stop revealed large amounts of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl.

On Tuesday, September 22, a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Marcus Frazier, DOB 01/30/1995, was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop numerous bags of narcotics were located inside the vehicle to include:

30.8 grams suspect MDMA
8.4 grams Fentanyl
25.3 grams Cocaine
11.9 grams Methamphetamine
2.0 grams Marijuana
8.4 grams Rock Cocaine

Subsequent investigation revealed Frazier was renting a hotel room along University Parkway. A search warrant was executed, and additional narcotics, drug paraphernalia indicative of narcotic manufacturing/sales, and a 9mm semiautomatic handgun were located within the room.

It should be noted Frazier is a convicted felon who has not had his civil rights restored, and therefore cannot possess a firearm.

Frazier was charged with Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of Meth with intent to S/M/D/, and Driving While License suspended.

This is an on-going investigation, and additional charges will be forthcoming pending drug analysis results and finger printing.
