The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kara Jane Rose Plocharsky, DOB 03/24/95, today on one count of Burglary.

In the early morning hours of June 4th, deputies responded to an active alarm at the 8 Ball Lounge, located at 3527 Webber Road just before 4:00 a.m. The first deputies on scene observed the glass front door had been shattered. A perimeter was set up around the area while a K-9 team conducted a search of the building with no results. 

In reviewing the surveillance footage, detectives observed a female wearing a motorcycle helmet, shatter the front door and enter the establishment. She made her way to the bar area where she pushed dozens of liquor bottles off the top of the bar resulting in thousands of dollars in damage to the establishment. 

Through investigative means detectives were able to positively identify Plocharsky as the individual seen in the surveillance video. With the assistance of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, she was arrested Wednesday in Manatee County.

Plocharsky was also arrested on two Sarasota Police Department warrants for the burglaries that occurred on the same morning at the Green Zebra Café and The Met.
