Cyber Tip Leads to Pornography Arrest

On March 18, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) with the assistance of Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and Tactical Unit executed search and arrest warrants at 431 Golden Beach Blvd, Venice related to an investigation regarding the Transmission of Child Pornography. Philip O. Radke, W/M, DOB: 07/02/87 was identified as the suspect and arrested for two counts of Transmission of Child Pornography stemming from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) cyber tip and ICAC Task Force investigation. The search and arrest warrants were served without incident.

After the search warrant was executed Digital Forensic Lab (DFL) examiners analyzed electronic devices obtained and discovered additional images of Child Pornography. Additionally, there was concern regarding communication of sexual abuse to children. After bonding out from the prior arrest, Radke was taken back into custody with the assistance of the SCSO Fugitive Apprehension Unit (FAU) on March 25 and charged with an additional 40 counts of Felony Possession of Child Pornography. He remains in custody at our correctional facility with no bond.

This collaborative effort led to a successful arrest and the removal of a dangerous, offender from our community.
