He received the prestigious Quality Assurance Award in 2017. Collins holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Nova Southeastern University.

Sergeant Sabrina McMahan was promoted to corrections lieutenant. She was hired by the sheriff’s office in 2013 as a booking technician. McMahan then transferred to serve as a corrections deputy. She worked as a part-time field training officer and was promoted to the rank of sergeant assigned to jail operations. She then transferred to booking sergeant. McMahan has been nominated four times for Employee of the Month and was also nominated for Supervisor of the Year. Lieutenant McMahan holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of South Florida.

“Promotion ceremonies remind us what great people we have working at this agency,” said Sheriff Hoffman. “As these members take the next step in their careers, we know we can look forward to continuing a legacy of leadership and professionalism.”
