Jonathon McNish
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) arrested a Sarasota man, Thursday, March 6, for possession and transmission of child pornography.
The SCSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) detectives arrested Jonathon McNish, DOB: 2/16/94, after serving a search warrant at his residence. Detectives received tips through the ICAC Task Force and were able to determine McNish not only possessed multiple images of child pornography but also transmitted the images.
McNish was arrested and charged with 40 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 30 counts of Transmission of Child Pornography. He is in custody at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility.
This arrest was the result of a 3-month investigation. The coordinated efforts of units across the Investigations, Special Operations, and Patrol Bureaus resulted in this operation proceeding without incident.
