The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is on the scene of a school bus crash that occurred in the lot of the Publix at Blackburn Rd and US41 – along with representatives from Sarasota County Schools and Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

There were no children on the bus at the time of the accident. There are no road closures as this occurred in the parking lot. The bus driver was transported to the hospital. FHP is investigating this accident.
