Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman is pleased to announce the graduation of Emergency Operations Manager Kristen Schultz on July 19 from the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Certified Public Safety Executive Program.

Schultz completed two 12-week online courses and one 10-day capstone course at APCO headquarters in Daytona Beach. This program is designed to elevate professionalism, enhance individual performance, and recognize excellence in the public safety communications industry. Participants in this program are taught indispensable skills for leadership within the complex and ever-changing environment in which public safety agencies operate.

“Encouraging our members to educate and prepare themselves for leadership is something we strive to do daily,” said Sheriff Hoffman. “We celebrate each accomplishment and appreciate their work to better themselves and our agency.”
