The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Lamone Dixon, DOB 10/15/74, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.

 

Dixon was convicted in 1992 in Sarasota County on one count of Lewd or Lascivious Battery on a Victim Under 16 Years Old. He was sentenced to five years of probation. In 1997, Dixon violated probation and was sentenced to two years of community control with probation for separate drug-related charges. He violated his probation again in 2000 and served five years in prison. In 2014, Dixon served an additional year behind bars for charges related to traffic and drug offenses. He recently relocated and reports his address is 2443 Leon Avenue, Rear Unit A, in the city of Sarasota. Dixon is not currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections, and because the sex offense occurred prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply.

 

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sexual offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
