The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Daniel Klimowicz, DOB 01/10/49, has registered as a sexual offender living in Sarasota.
In 2013, Klimowicz pled no contest to one count of Obscene Communication – Using a Computer to Seduce, Solicit or Lure a Child; and one count of Traveling to Seduce, Solicit, or Entice a Child to Commit a Sex Act. He was sentenced to six years in prison followed by four years of sex offender probation. Klimowicz was just released from prison and reports he will live at 7261 Mauna Loa Blvd., in Sarasota. He is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections and is not allowed to live within 1,000 feet of a school, childcare facility, park or playground.
This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, mobile app, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
