Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman today announced the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office 2020 Annual Report is available online.

The publication provides an overview of important local issues including crime and traffic statistics, budget, and more. The document also reviews the agency’s Administrative, Law Enforcement and Courts and Corrections divisions, their varied responsibilities, and how each serves the citizens of Sarasota County. The report summarizes key activities throughout 2020, including the completion of the new Support Services Facility and Mounted Patrol Barn, as well as the launch of How We Serve: Defining the Culture of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, a campaign created in the wake of George Floyd’s death that closely examined sheriff’s office policies and procedures.

“Twenty-twenty was anything but ordinary,” commented Sheriff Hoffman. “Despite the challenges faced by our community and across the globe, the men and women of the sheriff’s office worked hard and adapted well. Releasing this report gives us the opportunity to showcase our continued progress and demonstrate how serving our citizens is our highest priority.”
