Sheriff's Office Promotion

NEWS RELEASE 21-020 - MARCH 30, 2021

Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman is pleased to announce the promotion of Communications Operator II Cynthia Heinrich to Emergency Operations Supervisor.

Heinrich was hired in 2000 as a Communications Operator III. Later that year, she earned her certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch. In 2005, Heinrich earned her certification in Emergency Fire Dispatch, and in 2006, was promoted to Operator II. Heinrich has advanced training in conflict resolution, customer service, stress management, management and leadership, 911 operator skills, and more. Heinrich has more than a dozen compliment letters in her file highlighting her professionalism and dedication to duty. In a ceremony Tuesday, Heinrich was promoted to the rank of Emergency Operations supervisor assigned to the Emergency Operations Bureau.

“I am pleased to promote Cynthia to this next phase of her career,” commented Sheriff Hoffman. “Our 911 operators are truly our “first” first responders and without dedicated members like Cynthia, Sarasota County’s public safety services would not be nearly as stellar.”

Throughout April, the sheriff’s office will highlight the public safety telecommunication profession during Operation Visibility. The campaign will include words of gratitude from citizens, first responders, and others shared daily on the sheriff’s official social media accounts.
