The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that Justin Durand, DOB 05/21/80, has registered as a Sexual Predator living in Sarasota County.

 

Durand was convicted in 2002 in Charlotte County of Attempted Sexual Battery by a Juvenile on a Victim Under 12 Years Old and Lewd or Lascivious Conduct with a Victim Under 16 Years Old. He was sentenced to time served followed by 10 years of probation. Durand recently relocated and reports his address will be 4106 Titan Street in North Port. He is not currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections and because he was convicted prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply. Mandatory neighborhood notifications are being made.

 

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, along with agency Facebook and Twitter accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county, or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offender and predator registrations.
