NEWS RELEASE 20-142 - NOVEMBER 25, 2020
Kenniff CAP Award

Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight is pleased to announce Law Enforcement Accreditation Manager Sarah Kenniff has earned the designation of Certified Accreditation Professional (CAP) by the Executive Board of the Florida Police Accreditation Commission (FLA-PAC).

FLA-PAC promotes the concept of the voluntary certification for all accreditation professionals in the criminal justice field however, the certification focuses exclusively on the individual and is an indication of current proficiency in a particular criminal justice field. Accreditation professionals who become CAPs are distinguished as individuals who have reached one of the highest levels of achievement and recognition in their field. Kenniff, who joined the sheriff’s office in 2006, is one of only 25 Certified Accreditation Professionals statewide.

“I am extremely proud of Sarah, her diligence, and commitment to furthering the professionalism of our agency,” commented Sheriff Tom Knight. “We hold accreditation in very high regard which is why individuals like Sarah are trusted to lead and manage the process.”
