The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that Fred Makowski, DOB 09/27/78, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.

 

Makowski was convicted in 2020 in Sarasota County on three counts of Traveling to Meet a Minor to Commit an Unlawful Sexual Offense and three counts of Sending a Minor Harmful Information. He was sentenced to one year in prison with credit for time served, followed by two years of community control and six years of probation. Makowski was recently released and reports his address is 81 Lee Circle in Englewood. He is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections, however due to the criteria of his conviction, residency restrictions do not apply.

 

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website along with the agency Facebook and Twitter accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county, or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offender and predator registrations.
