The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 60-year-old man Thursday for Possession of Child Pornography.
Through investigation, detectives received information that Edward Peteja, DOB 02/14/58, was possibly downloading child pornography. On Thursday, detectives executed a search warrant on his home located at 3122 Bernadette Lane, in Sarasota, where Peteja is the sole resident. During a search of the property, detectives seized CDs and DVDs containing images of child pornography.
Peteja was arrested and taken to the Sarasota County Jail. He is charged with ten felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography and is being held without bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending. Peteja was also arrested in 2005 for Use of a Child in Sexual Performance and in 1997 for Prostitution.
