Sex Offender/Criminal Registrations

Any person who has been legally classified as a Sexual Predator or Sexual Offender must report in person at least twice a year (during the month of his/her birth month and in the 6th month thereafter) to the sheriff’s office headquarters in the county in which he or she resides. Failure to comply with this requirement is a 3rd-degree felony. The hours for the sexual offender and predator registrations are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  For more information, contact the Forensic Identification Unit at 941.861.4728 or email

Due to statutory requirements, Felony and Career Offender registrations take place at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility located at 2020 Main Street.
