The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that Guenther Strobl, DOB 2/19/48, has registered as a Sexual Predator living in Sarasota County.

Strobl was convicted of Sexual Battery on a Victim Under 12, Possession of Pornography, Lewd or Lascivious Molestation on a Victim Under 12, Lewd or Lascivious Exhibition on a Victim Under 16, and Providing Obscene Material to Minors in 2009 in Polk County. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison as well as sex offender probation.. Strobl has no other criminal history. He was just released from prison and reports his new address is 313 Granada Boulevard in North Port. Strobl is currently under the supervision of the Department of Corrections until 2026 and is not allowed to live within 1,000 feet of a school, childcare facility, park or playground.

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
