Aviation Mechanic


DUTIES
The mechanic will maintain aircraft logbooks, directives and bulletins; perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, conduct installations, establish parts supply, and oversee the environmental integrity of the air unit premises. The mechanic will be highly knowledgeable with computers and Microsoft Office. The mechanic will have the ability to perform and assist with tasks/maintenance outside of helicopter maintenance.

STARTING SALARY
Salary range upon hire:  $57,930 - $67,044 (determined by documented acceptable prior related experience).
Long-term salary cap:  $79,918.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
  • 2-4 years helicopter maintenance experience (preferably on Bell 407).
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Must possess good mechanical skills with the ability to repair and maintain additional shop equipment.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently with little or no supervision.
  • Must own a complete set of aviation quality hand tools.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • 5 years flight line experience on turbine powered helicopters, preferably Bell 407.
  • 5 -10 years overall civilian helicopter experience preferred.
  • Inspection Authorization
  • RADS system familiarity
  • Experience managing a small office including shipping, filing, record keeping, purchasing etc.
