The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 64-year-old Venice man Thursday for Possession of Child Pornography.

 

Detectives received information that a particular IP address was used to upload child pornography to Facebook. On Thursday, detectives executed a search warrant at 9055 S. Tamiami Trail, Unit 8, in Venice. Through investigation, detectives learned Daniel Delong, DOB 03/23/55, lived at the residence and downloaded the images to his computer. During their search, detectives also discovered a child-like sex doll in the residence. During an interview, Delong admitted to downloading and viewing more than a thousand photos and videos of child pornography over the years.

 

Delong was arrested and taken to the Sarasota County Jail where he is charged with 40 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Prohibition of Certain Acts in Connection with Obscene or Lewd Materials. He remains in custody without bond while the investigation continues.
