Sex Predator Registration

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that Ryan McCann Hoffman, DOB 04/22/86, has registered as a Sexual Predator living in Sarasota County.
McCann Hoffman was convicted as a Youthful Offender in 2004 in Indian River County of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Victim 12 to 15 Years Old. He was sentenced to four years in prison followed by two years of probation. In 2008, McCann Hoffman was convicted as a Youthful Offender of Violation of Probation and served two additional years behind bars. He was convicted again in 2012 on two counts of Attempted Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Victim 12 to 16 Years Old. McCann Hoffman was sentenced to five years in prison followed by five years of probation. He violated his probation in 2017 and was sentenced to another four years in prison. McCann Hoffman was recently released and reports his address is 4081 South Chamberlain Boulevard in the city of North Port. He is not currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections, however he is not allowed to live within 1,000 feet of a school, childcare facility, park or playground. Mandatory neighborhood notifications are being made.
This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county, or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offender and predator registrations.
