NEWS RELEASE 19-155 - SEPTEMBER 05, 2019
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Sarasota residents after a search warrant revealed trafficking amounts of methamphetamine.
Detectives launched their investigation in August 2019 after receiving information that Gilbert Larry Langford, DOB 05/28/79, was selling methamphetamine from an RV parked at a residence in Sarasota. As the result of an undercover transaction with Langford, Special Investigation Section detectives received more than 16 grams of meth, a trafficking amount. On Wednesday, detectives executed a search warrant on the property of Tamara Poole, DOB 10/10/61, at 1821 Bayonne Street. More than 27 grams of methamphetamine was recovered in Langford’s RV, and inside Poole’s home, an additional 432 grams of the drug were found inside Poole’s purse.
Langford is charged with two counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine. Poole is charged with one count of Trafficking in Methamphetamine More than 200 Grams. Both remain in custody at the Sarasota County Jail without bond.
