The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office charged a Bradenton man with Armed Robbery after he stole two luxury watches at gunpoint from a Sarasota retailer.

 

Just before 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to Mayors Jewelers at The Mall at University Town Center located at 140 University Town Center Drive, for the report of an armed robbery. According to retail personnel, the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded two Rolex watches valued at a combined $33,800. Surveillance images from the robbery were immediately released to the public through the sheriff’s office social media channels. Thanks to several tips, detectives quickly identified the suspect as 64-year-old Robert Nuttall, of 3403 32^nd Street West. A search warrant was executed at his home where detectives recovered the clothing he wore during the robbery, his firearm and both stolen watches.

 

Nuttall remains in custody today at the Manatee County Jail where he is charged with Armed Robbery. The investigation is ongoing.
