Sarasota Man Arrested for Burglary

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the burglary of a Sarasota business last week.
 
Detectives launched their investigation on August 5 when a man broke into Gecko’s restaurant at 351 N. Cattlemen Road around 1:30 a.m. Surveillance video captured the suspect enter the patio and remove two mounted televisions. Following the release of surveillance images through the sheriff’s office social media accounts Friday afternoon, detectives received an anonymous tip identifying the suspect as Brian Ceo, DOB 07/15/85, who was taken into custody Monday afternoon.
 
Ceo, of 1012 W. Marlin Lakes Circle, Unit 613, in Sarasota, is charged with two counts of Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure, two counts of Grand Theft, and two counts of Violation of Probation. He has several prior arrests in Sarasota County including for Burglary, Dealing in Stolen Property and Drug Possession. Ceo remains in custody today at the Sarasota County Jail without bond.
