Search Warrant Yields Trafficking Amount of Methamphetamine

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested three Sarasota people after a search warrant revealed trafficking amounts of methamphetamine.
 
On Wednesday, detectives executed a search warrant at the home of Kevin Preston, DOB  08/11/72, of 7084 Brentford Road in Sarasota. Preston was charged twice in 2018 with Trafficking in Methamphetamine as a result of the agency’s largest meth investigation and seizure to date, Operation Night Train. Upon a search of his residence, detectives located more than 34 grams of meth, cocaine, marijuana, and more than a dozen various prescription pills. Also arrested during the execution of the search warrant were Preston’s acquaintances Ronald Evans, DOB 09/30/70, and Danielle Parent, DOB 06/21/92.
 
Preston is charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine More than 28 Grams, Possession of Hydromorphone with Intent to Sell or Deliver, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He remains in custody without bond.
 
Evans is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Buprenorphine. He remains in custody on $3,000 bond.
 
Parent, of 5324 Kensington Street, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. She remains in custody on $1,500 bond.
