The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Cody Pawlus, DOB 5/15/90, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.
 
Pawlus was convicted in 2010 in Ohio on eleven counts of Attempted Pandering of Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor. He was sentenced to 160 days in jail followed by 5 years of probation. Pawlus was again convicted in 2018 in Ohio of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity Oriented Material or Performance and served an additional five months and 28 days behind bars. He recently relocated and reports his address is 2130 Boca Chica Avenue in North Port. Pawlus is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections and is not allowed to live within 1,000 feet of a school, childcare facility, park or playground.
 
This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sexual offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
