The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that John Eugene Hayes, DOB 03/10/69, has registered as a sexual offender living in Sarasota.

 

In 2003, Hayes pled no contest to Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor and Providing Alcohol to a Person Under 21. He was sentenced to time served followed by five years of sex offender probation. Hayes was just released from prison following a conviction for Grand Theft out of Manatee County, and reports he will live at 4532 Swift Road in Sarasota. He is not currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections and because his conviction was prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply.

 

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, mobile app, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
