Sex Offender Registration

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that William Corey Jefferson, DOB 03/04/79, has registered as a sexual offender temporarily staying in Sarasota.
Jefferson was charged in 2004 in Seminole County with Lewd or Lascivious Conduct with a Victim Under 16 and sentenced to 5 years of probation. He violated probation once in 2006 and twice in 2007. As a result of his third violation, he was sentenced to 20 months in prison. Jefferson lives in Orlando and is only temporarily working in Sarasota County. He reports his address will be 4200 N. Tamiami Trail, Room 222 in Sarasota. Jefferson is not currently under the supervision of the Department of Corrections and residency restrictions do not apply.
This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
