The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 28-year-old Sarasota man for Sale of Methamphetamine.  

The investigation launched in January when Andrew Lee, DOB 07/18/89, agreed to sell a gram of methamphetamine to undercover detectives. Through investigation, detectives connected Lee with Brian Tharp, a distributor in Sarasota County who was arrested May 19 for Trafficking in Methamphetamine. Tharp’s arrest was announced during a news conference Thursday, highlighting Operation Night Train, a six-month-long undercover investigation that yielded significant quantities of methamphetamine and thousands of dollars in cash.

Lee, of 810 Hand Avenue, was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with a single count of Sale of Methamphetamine. He was released the same day on $100,000 bond. Lee has prior arrests for Dealing in Stolen Property, Smuggling Contraband into a Detention Facility, Theft, Armed Burglary, and more.
