Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman is pleased to announce that Crime Analyst Molly Suplee graduated from the Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy on Friday, June 16. The 30 graduates serve crime intelligence analyst roles and represent 19 criminal justice agencies throughout the state.

Analyst Suplee completed a six-week training course that helped the attendees to develop skills through assignments, quizzes, hands-on training, and presentations. They worked individually and in group research projects, followed by a comprehensive examination. After completing all coursework and testing, the graduates are recognized as Florida-certified law enforcement analysts.

The goal of the Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy is to provide a uniform training curriculum in law enforcement analysis and to set the foundation for a professional career path in criminal and intelligence analysis and investigations for non-sworn personnel in law enforcement. This certification course is hosted by The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
