Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman is pleased to promote two sheriff’s office members to new ranks.

Kristin Randall-Guy is promoted to the rank of Emergency Operations Supervisor assigned to the Emergency Operations Bureau. The sheriff’s office hired Randall-Guy in February 2008 as a Communications Operator III. She worked in this capacity until July 2011, when she trained and became certified as a Fire Radio Dispatcher and was promoted to Communications Operator II. Kristin has attended numerous training courses and classes during her career, including active shooter training, verbal judo, mental health first aid, Incident dispatch, and incident command structure.

Tyler Busenburg is promoted to the rank of Corrections Sergeant assigned to the Courts and Corrections Division. In June of 2015, Busenburg obtained his certification in corrections from the Suncoast Technical College in Sarasota. In August of that same year, he was hired by the sheriff’s office as a corrections deputy. In 2021, Busenburg transitioned to a corrections field training officer, taking on the tremendous responsibility of training and mentoring newly hired corrections deputies. He was also nominated as an Employee of the Month for the Courts and Corrections Division in October 2021.

“These members have shown their commitment to serving the citizens of Sarasota County,” said Sheriff Hoffman. “I have no doubt they are equipped with the knowledge needed to perform at the highest level, and it is my pleasure to support them as they take the next step in their careers.”
