The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Jayme Spencer, DOB 05/12/85, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.

 

Spencer was convicted in Michigan in 2002 on two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct: Assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Penetration. He was sentenced to 300 days in jail followed by 24 months of probation. In 2013, Spencer was convicted again in Sarasota County on single counts of Traveling to Meet a Minor to Commit an Unlawful Sexual Offense and Use of Computer to Solicit a Parent or Custodian to Consent to the Child’s Participation in Sexual Conduct. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years of probation. Spencer was recently released and reports his address is 900 University Parkway in Sarasota. He is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections and is not allowed to live within 1,000 feet of a school, childcare facility, park or playground.

 

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook and Twitter accounts to publicly notify citizens of sexual offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
