Sex Offender Registration

NEWS RELEASE 20-135 - OCTOBER 28, 2020
ALLEN, PAUL

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that Paul D. Allen, DOB 03/26/87, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.

Allen was convicted in 2008 in New Hampshire of Felonious Sexual Assault on a Victim Under 16 Years Old.  He was sentenced to six months in jail followed by two years of probation.  Following his release, he was again convicted in 2009 for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and sentenced to an additional six months in jail followed by five years of probation. Allen later failed to meet registration requirements twice more and was sentenced to another four years in prison. He was just released in September and reports his new temporary address is 975 University Parkway in Sarasota. He is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections however, due to the date of his original conviction, residency restrictions do not apply.

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, along with agency Facebook and Twitter accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county, or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offender and predator registrations.
