Detectives received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that a particular IP address was used to transmit child pornography through the chat application, Kik. On Wednesday, detectives executed a search warrant at 1678 Quail Lake Drive in Venice. Through investigation, detectives learned Kagan Wilson, DOB 05/26/92, lived at the residence and possessed child pornography on his electronic devices. During their search, detectives recovered 240 images and videos depicting child pornography.

Wilson was arrested and taken to the Sarasota County Correctional Facility where he is charged with 240 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He remains in custody today without bond while the investigation continues.
