The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that Robert Honig, DOB 07/15/82, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.

 

Honig was convicted in 2013 in Sarasota County of Use of Computer to Solicit a Child to Engage in Sexual Conduct and Traveling to Meet a Minor to Commit an Unlawful Sexual Offense. He was sentenced to eight years in prison followed by seven years of probation. Honig was recently released and reports his address is 4144 Worcester Road in Sarasota. He is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections and is not allowed to live within 1,000 feet of a school, childcare facility, park or playground.

 

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website along with the agency Facebook and Twitter accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county, or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offender and predator registrations.
