The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 37-year-old Nokomis man for Trafficking in Methamphetamine.  

 

Deputies initially made contact with Christopher Lynch, DOB 02/19/83, Thursday night along U.S. 41 in Venice when he was stopped for a traffic violation. Deputies gave Lynch a warning and told him he was free to go then asked if he had anything illegal inside his vehicle. Lynch told deputies he had a needle for injecting methamphetamine in the driver’s side door. Upon a search, deputies recovered the paraphernalia as well as more than 18 grams of meth and three prescription pills. Lynch was taken into custody and booked into the Sarasota County Correctional Facility.  

 

Lynch, of 1612 Maple Street, is charged with a single count of trafficking in Methamphetamine. He remains in custody without bond.
