2019 Annual Report COVER

Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight today announced the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office 2019 Annual Report is available online.

The publication provides an overview of important local issues including crime statistics, the budget, traffic, and more. The document also reviews the agency’s Administrative, Law Enforcement and Courts and Corrections divisions, their varied responsibilities, and how each serves the citizens of Sarasota County. The 2019 report summarizes key activities during Sheriff Knight’s eleventh year in office, including the launch of a social media campaign to educate parents about mobile applications, and lifechanging programs being implemented behind the walls of Sarasota County’s Correctional Facility.

“Twenty nineteen was a great year for Sarasota County and for the men and women of the sheriff’s office,” commented Sheriff Tom Knight. “That is why we are excited to release this report because not only does it show our progress, but it also shows our community how we are continuing to lead the nation by utilizing a progressive and modern policing philosophy.”
