The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 71-year-old Venice man Friday for Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives received information that a particular IP address was used to upload child pornography using the social media website, Facebook. A search warrant was executed at 70 Princeton Road in Venice. Through investigation, detectives learned William Willis, DOB 02/04/49, lived at the residence and possessed child pornography on his electronic devices. During their search, detectives recovered 13 images and videos of child pornography.
Willis is charged with 13 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography and was released on Saturday on $65,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
