Corrections Sergeant John Darling and Sheriff Tom Knight.

Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight is pleased to announce the promotion of Corrections Deputy John Darling.
 
Corrections Deputy John Darling is promoted to the rank of Sergeant assigned to the Courts and Corrections Division. Darling joined the sheriff’s office in 2004 and obtained his corrections certification in 2005. Throughout his career, he was recognized as Courts and Corrections Employee of the Month and was also nominated for Corrections Deputy of the Year. He currently serves as a member of the Corrections Emergency Response Team (CERT) and has advanced certifications in crisis intervention and breath test operation. Darling earned his associate’s degree from Mott Community College and his bachelor’s degree from Argosy University.
