The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that Clancy Lake, DOB 05/14/52, has registered as a Sexual Predator living in Sarasota County.

 

Lake was convicted in 2008 in Sarasota County of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Victim Under 12 Years Old and sentenced to 12 years in prison. He recently relocated and reports his address is 2500 Bay Street, upstairs apartment, in the city of Sarasota. Lake is not currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections, and because the original offense took place prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply. Mandatory neighborhood notifications are being made.

 

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county, or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offender and predator registrations.
