Sex Offender Registration

NEWS RELEASE 20-013 - JANUARY 29, 2020
Maley, Robert
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Robert Maley, DOB 3/20/53, has registered as a Sexual Offender temporarily living in Sarasota County.

Maley was convicted in 1994 in Massachusetts of Child Fondling. He was sentenced to five to seven years in prison. He is visiting Sarasota County until April 5, 2020 and reports he will be staying at 661 Linden Drive, Unit 318, in Englewood. Maley is not currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections, and because the offense occurred out of state, residency restrictions do not apply.

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sexual offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
