Bullinger, Anna
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 55-year-old Sarasota woman Tuesday for stealing more than $1,000,000 from her 94-year-old client over a four-year period.

Detectives began their investigation in September 2019 when an estate attorney discovered suspicious bank transactions made by Anna Bullinger, the former caregiver of an elderly Nokomis woman who died a few months prior. Investigation revealed Bullinger not only deposited a $90,000 check the day after the victim’s death but also cashed 147 checks totaling more than half a million dollars between January 2015 and June 2019. Bullinger is also suspected of transferring a trust account valued at $650,000 to her daughter in January 2019. Collectively, the amount stolen from the victim totals $1,102,307.

Bullinger, of 4429 Meadow Creek Circle, is charged with one felony count of Exploitation of the Elderly Over $50,000. She was released Tuesday on $50,000 bond. Bullinger has several prior arrests for Petit Theft, Grand Theft and Violation of Probation.
