The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a 65-year-old Venice man Wednesday for Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives received information that a particular IP address was used to upload child pornography to an internet search engine. On Wednesday, detectives executed a search warrant at 901 Jolanda Circle in Venice. Through investigation, detectives learned Richard Estes, DOB 07/26/54, lived at the residence and downloaded the images. During an interview, he admitted to using his laptop to view and download photos of child pornography.
Estes was arrested and taken to the Sarasota County Jail where he is charged with 18 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He remains in custody without bond while the investigation continues.
