The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Marie Ferranti, DOB 09/05/83, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.

 

Ferranti was convicted in 2018 in Sarasota County on two counts of Unlawful Sexual Activity with Certain Minors 16 or 17 Years Old and one count of Lewd or Lascivious Battery on a Victim 12 to 15 Years Old. She was sentenced to 15 months in prison followed by seven years of probation. Ferranti was recently released and reports her address is 12597 South Tamiami Trail in North Port. She is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections and is not allowed to live within 1,000 feet of a school, childcare facility, park or playground.

 

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sexual offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
