Senior System Analyst


DUTIES
Responsible for technical and analytical work to analyze, develop, and implement IT security strategies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems, and IT infrastructure solutions for the Sheriff’s Office. The position will plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security protocols to protect the agency's computer networks and data information against potential cyber-attacks. Performs other duties as required.

STARTING SALARY
Annual Salary: $65,894 – $74,214 (based upon General Order policy and documented related experience).
Long-term salary cap: $88,774.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate degree (Bachelor preferred) and 4 years minimum current work experience in IT.
  • At least one of the listed certifications; CompTIA A+, ITIL Expert, CCSP, CPTM, CAPM, Project +, CISSP, PMP, CGCIO, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified Architect/Master/IT Professional/Professional Developer/Technology Specialist, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA.
  • Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analyzes technical and non-technical data and metadata to determine normal patterns of events, proactively identify abnormalities, and determine root-cause of abnormalities. Correlates threat data from various sources.
  • Proficiency with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and security software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, demonstrating an awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
  • Must be experienced with concepts, practices, and procedures within Information Technology.
  • Relevant Experience of some of the following needed:
    • Current Microsoft Windows Environment including Active Directory
    • SIEM/MDR/EDR tools
    • Current Microsoft Server OS
    • IT Project Management
    • Networking Cisco Preferred
    • VMWare 6.0 +
