Part-time Building Maintenance Technician


DUTIES
The Part-time Building Maintenance Technician will work 25 hours per week and duties will include but are not limited to; perform general maintenance and repairs including, painting, replacing light bulbs and switches, hanging pictures, maps, etc., assist in the moving of tables, chairs, cabinets, desks, and other office furniture and equipment, and perform other duties as directed or as the situation dictates. Work hours may occasionally be required before or after normal business hours based on work assignment.

STARTING SALARY
Hourly salary range upon hire: $15.63 - $19.48 (determined by acceptable prior related experience)
Long-term hourly salary cap: $26.21.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of the care and safe operation of both manual and power tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Knowledge of the techniques required to perform maintenance and repair of equipment, grounds, and facilities.
  • Knowledge of general materials, methods, equipment, and procedures employed in buildings and grounds maintenance work.
  • Ability to maintain basic maintenance reports.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and make decisions based on established procedures and policies.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, and the public.
