DUTIES
Under the supervision of a Corrections Sergeant, The Laundry Officer’s duties will include but are not limited to; developing a laundry schedule to ensure efficiency, supervise and provide instruction to inmate workers on proper laundry procedures and safety protocols, oversee the dry cleaning program, pick up and deliver all laundry items for inmates within the facility, pick up and deliver all dry-cleaning items for staff within the facility, maintain laundry machines, and assist the sewing coordinator with bedding and linen repair as necessary. Performs other work assignments as directed.
STARTING SALARY
Salary range upon hire: $37,213 - $45,213 (determined by acceptable prior related experience).
Long-term salary cap: $59,213.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Demonstrated skill in the use of computer and office equipment to perform position tasks.
- Effectively communicate information, both verbal and written, demonstrating awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
