DUTIES
The Part-time Fleet Services Facility Lot/Building Technician will work 25 hours per week and duties will include but are not limited to; performing light building maintenance duties on the lot and in the fleet building, maintaining the appearance of vehicles, and ensure the orderliness of the vehicle lot, preparing out of service vehicles for auction, assisting in transporting vehicles to outside vendors for repairs, picking up parts from various parts stores in the local area and perform other duties as directed or as the situation dictates. Work hours may occasionally be required before or after normal business hours based on work assignment.
STARTING SALARY
Hourly salary range upon hire: $24.48 - $28.48 (determined by acceptable prior related experience).
Long-term hourly salary cap: $35.48.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of the care and safe operation of both manual and power tools and equipment used in building maintenance, vehicle cleaning and prepping tasks.
- Knowledge of general materials, methods, equipment, and procedures employed in buildings and grounds maintenance work.
- Knowledge of operating various motor vehicles and equipment and have a valid driver’s license with no moving violations.
- Ability to maintain basic vehicle reports.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and make decisions based on established procedures and policies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, and the public.
