DUTIES
The Control Room Specialist will be responsible for monitoring all facility doors, gates, and cameras via closed circuit screens, and controlling access/movement for the entire correctional facility. The Control Room Specialist must be able to multitask, be proficient in correctional facility technologies and knowledgeable of the entire correctional facility layout. The Control Room Specialist assigned to the Visitation Unit will also be responsible for assisting, scheduling and check-in of visitors, remote monitoring of inmate visits, uploading the visitation schedule to the inmate tablets, special visit notifications, answering inmate grievances and requests, and enforcement of visitation rules. The Control Room Specialist will be responsible for any other functions deemed appropriate by the bureau commander.
STARTING SALARY
Salary range upon hire: $40,518 - $48,838 (determined by acceptable prior related experience)
Long-term salary cap: $ 63,398
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated skill in the use of computer and office equipment required to perform the position tasks.
- Efficient in time management skills relating to daily work activities, tasks, and special assignments.
- Ability to work shifts which will include evening, weekend and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, demonstrating an awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
